  1. I don't think I will be adding any more but here is what it looks like finished.

  2. I have an old twist and spin from the 60s for exercise. I covered it with aluminum as its a collectors item. I had the soldering holder. I bought a set of copper, gold and silver sharpies and tapped it to the soldering holder. Seems to work just fine. Takes a bit to set it up so it does not move. My first attempt messed up as I tried to hold the marker stand too hard. A bit of Mguires car polish and a paper towel removed it with a light bit of pressure. I am painting this fan pearlized white/gray. Brass polished and painted accents.

  4. That’s right all murdered out is the slang for all blacked out. I have Emerson 29668 with a later black blade and it’s all murdered out.

  5. They are uniform width and straight. R&M couldn't do better. If you decide to expand on these talents, please keep us posted. 🙂

  7. I've taken out bearings and drilled a shallow hole where the bearing was worn most. Then with a punch I've knocked the bottom of the shallow hole until the clearance is taken up. With modern oils, this fix could last as long as the original bearing did. Alternatively, just rotating the bearing 180 degrees is sometimes enough to quiet a noisy fan. Another alternative is to replace the bearing and in some cases an Oilite bearing can be sourced, say, from McMaster Carr that will turn your fan into a maintenance free fan.

  8. Hate sounding like such a big fan nerd but I value and appreciate being a member of AFCA and it’s members, best hands down!

  9. I appreciate it and agree with everyone as purchasing another one is the logical solution. I had already spoken with Jerry Bravi before posting to the group and got his advice as well as the option to buy a reproduction from him. I know Jerry’s work is undoubtedly amazing, just wanted to see if I had a slim chance to keep it original. No worries, thank you for all the help.

  11. Or buy a new blade set from Jerry Bravi. Unless you can do the repairs yourself, you’ll likely have just as much into it.
