Old pre 1950’s attic fan Oil?

It hasn’t ran in over 58 years. And I put a new belt and some oil in bearing caps. It running great has small squeak in bearings.Not sure best oil.

Make certain the belt is a fractional horsepower belt & not an automotive belt. Also that fan uses sleeve bearings so leave some slack in the belt.

CHECK THE MOTOR ENDS ALSO FOR SMALL OIL HOLES (MAYBE WITH A CAP OR SPRING LOADED LID/CAP AND MAKE SURE MOTOR HAS OIL IF NEEDED TOO.

That's a Hercules home cooler by Sears. Those round domed covers on the center bearing are oil ports. Just drip some oil in the hole in the center. The motor should have flip caps on either end for oiling. Use a light weight, non-detergent oil, either Zoom Spout or 3-N-1 Blue.
