you will have to be way more specific, also hot by means of what ? touch? Unless you are measuring with an infrared thermometer that is a relative term. Hot is relative to each  person.

My 16” Vortys all run at 140 degrees. Way too hot to hold your hand on, but perfectly normal.

It's been my experience that most small shaded pole motors run much hotter than phase wound motors. Regardless, over 180 is getting a bit too hot for safety, especially on old windings. A rewound motor with 200 C insulation wire can run significantly hotter without damage, but with old windings, the insulation tends to degrade rapidly causing shorts, which in turn causes the motor to get even hotter, until eventually it goes up in smoke.
