David Allen
I've seen the twisted, mangled wreckage of valuable or priceless fans lamented over on numerous occasions here. However the nasty kitchen garbage used for packing TAKES THE CAKE (or rather someone else took the cake and used its box for your fan.) Who in their right mind would have done that? Someone said it was an AFCA member. They should be publicly outed and harshly chastised.

When my tank came In it looked like it was packed by a newbie and it was about ready to fall through the box and the worst part! It blew up

Paul Michael
I won't share stories or photos to make any of you wince or cry. You can't refund history. But, given my experiences in the past year, and the large amounts of wasteful government spending, I'm starting a 501(c)3 to obtain a grant to warn the public about the true nature of fans. Fan (n, singular) 1. A device powered by hand, water, heat, or often, electricity, used to convey a breeze. 2.) A device used to conceal a battering ram, inclined toward escape, especially during transit. 2

Well, in the one pic, all that was visible otherwise were a box and a pair of stockinged feet 😉
Jack Parton
Not the most egregious, but woulda been the most tragic if it had been any worse... The eBay seller sending me this AeroFan placed a packing tape cardbord core over the end of the motor cone to space it from the back wall of the box, not understanding that that would focus any pressure against that back wall against the part of that cone already weakened by the presence of the ventilation slots. Took some hammering and a lot of patience, swearing, and careful measurement, but it's at least back in something close to the shape it was meant to be. I may someday make a little more adjustment. Happily the rest of the fan was intact... But then, this fan's built like a small tank.
