Jon Kovach
Is there a member directory on this site? I can’t seem to find it. Thanks!
Jon Kovach
I only use the site on mobile device maybe that is why I can’t find a member directory? thanks!
David Allen
I'm using a Windows PC with Chrome browser, and also cannot locate any member directory.
Stan Adams
It doesn't appear any were mailed out this year. If they were, I never got one.
Rod Rogers
It is not online, as most don't want all their information posted for anyone to harvest. We did have an email directory on the old site, by request only. It was rather limited. Rod

Steve Sherwood
We just changed printers for the fan magazine and have not made arrangements for a new directory yet. I'm sure we will have one, in a few months or so.
Mark Olson
If you type a name into the search bar, when no results are found, you have the option of searching for that members name. There is probably an easier way, but I stumbled on this method yesterday.

John Landstrom
From what I’ve been reading it sounds like the directories were painted versions of the current membership. I'm wondering if it’s feasible to create digital versions and email them to the group. There would be a need for (perhaps) 3 versions. One for Windows, one for IOS, and one in .PDF. Maybe an Excel type version for each operating system, then the stand alone .PDF version. We could download and customize to taste. Personally I’d create a modified (Excel type) version listing by state as well as having the original by name. Just a thought.

John Landstrom
Thanks for the confirmation Steve. Pity though. Perhaps some ideas can get tossed around at the meeting.
Bill Arfmann
Steve-- I would ask, what is the major obstacle for the Board.? I for one would urge you to ask the Board to reconsider as far as printing. If they are printed, possibly individual members could pony up the mailing costs? Thanks

I support Bill's question in a constructive manner. Is it a pain to put together?
Lane Shirey
I’d rather a printed version than excel spreadsheet. Electronic address lists are too easy to sell to scammers and spammers.

Annie Hill
It has been a topic of conversation here and there over past board meetings. What Rod said last year about some people wanting only some info available to masses is true . Cost of print and mailing is a factor, but one of the biggest obstacles is that the minute it is printed and you receive it, it is out of date. We have a constant influx of newbies.. We do have a membership roster with ALL the info and it has been discussed about an online, MEMBER'S only access to perhaps a Membership Directory area on the site. One, it would have to be built and two, not everyone wants all of their info available like that. Now if it could just be all the same info across the board without having to individually screen out unwanted details, then it would probably work. Do't be discouraged , it is something that has been talked about. In the meantime, please read Jamie's article in the June 2023 issue, where he writes about how you can use the current site to get member info....(it's being proofed now and will got to print after the holiday ... Thank you as always for your patience as we try and make the website more amazing... Annie

Thank you as always for your patience as we try and make the website more amazing... Annie I think the ideal situation would be to allow members to view the relevant record fields on another member's account, (address, phone, e-mails...), but only *IF* that member opts in. Otherwise, the member would show up the way it currently does. I think there is a legal issue with simply putting any of that in a published—physical or electronic—directory, without individual permissions... And, a 'real person' could pay for a membership, just to try and run a scam here. There were scams on the old site as I remember. Maybe just sending a message to the person and asking as needed is safest for all, even if it's a little more 'work' and 'delay'. pm Edited May 26 by Paul Michael Always typos. All ways.
Bill Arfmann
I appreciate the conversation within the Board, and hearing of some of the current obstacles to printing it this year. BTW, many of our fellow collectors would tell you that I'm "out of date."
