Russ Huber Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 William Tideman may have designed the all-Aluminum Cool Spot for Signal in 1923, and the fan motors to follow through 1927 season. William was killed in a car accident in 1927. Henry Tideman filled his shoes in 1927. The Signal patent link below with William's name shows Jan. of 23 filing. 1499082090120931884-01582519 (storage.googleapis.com) Quote

"William was killed in a car accident in 1927" And, of course, there was Henry..... Son William Tideman left his father's Cairo folly in Cairo in late winter of 1921. He established himself in Canton, Ohio as an engineer. His wife wanted to get back to mom and dad in upper Michigan. If she ain't happy, you ain't happy. Son William moves her back to upper Michigan. Son William establishes himself at Signal as the GM and in 1927 is involved in a fatal car accident. Henry leaves his consultant/engineer position at Chicago to come back to fill his deceased son's GM position at Signal. Henry retires from Signal early 30s and is dead by 1934. Mrs. William Tideman (Francis)blames herself for husband's death being she pressure William to come back to upper Michigan. In Feb. of 1943 a house fire with such intensity and speed takes the life of Mrs. William Tideman at the age of 50. Nikola Tesla passed away just a month before.
