Louis Luu Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 (edited) A long while back, George sent me his Dragon to draw. After multiple attempts, I decided the paint needed removal if I was going to get the details done correctly. I talked to George and he gave me permission to remove the paint so I can properly study the piece to mock it up for drawing. I will also fix the missing part on the bottom for the switch. The paint was covering up a lot of the details. Edited September 29, 2022 by Louis Luu 1 Quote
Jeff Lumsden Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Any plans to mock up the spring suspension bracket also? Quote

Jeff Lumsden Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 I'm hoping someone has one to measure/share specs, but here are some pics that I had saved... 1 Quote

Jeff Lumsden Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Hey, George, were the eyes colored too? I saw on some of Chad's restores, both the tongue and eyes were red. Quote

Louis Luu Posted August 8, 2023 Author Posted August 8, 2023 Hey George...your Fort Wayne dragon is next....I think I'll digitally sculpt the body and head to give it more details. Once the paint is removed, you see a lot of the details that was covered up. I'll need to brain storm on this a bit. Quote

I admire and appreciate much of what you do, but any lost wax foundry would tackle this with ease and grace. No headaches for you! 😉 Quote

Besides, I like the challenge and it helps me during my downtime from work. 1 Quote
