Ken McClead
I got this fan yesterday at Stan's fan meet and began the disassembly process. It has a 10 pole psc motor in it. Does anyone know how to wire it as the switch was broken. Thanks!

Ken McClead
Would this video apply to this fan as the motor has 5 wires coming out, and the switch seems to have jumpers in similar places? I do not want to cut any wires off of the old switch until I get the new switch. See video link below.
Mark Olson
The video may describe how your motor and switch are wired. It would be preferable to simply wire your new 3p2t (three pole double throw), on-off-on, switch exactly how the old one is wired. Unless you make a diagram of your motor and switch using an ohm meter to discover the internal wiring of the motor, it is not possible to say that the video describes your situation exactly. Ken McClead
When I get the new switch in, I will remove one wire at a time from the old switch and terminate the wire on the corresponding terminal on the new switch to avoid any mistakes and the possibility of causing a short or burning up the motor. Stan Adams
Ken that thing may be a series/parallel. If it is, you are going to need a 3PDT switch with jumpers.

Thanks! That switch does not have center off. You may want to check to see if the switch that you need has center off.
