DeMott motor is back on track.

I found a stainless steel material with the magnetic property of cast iron.  The motor can be wound now.  In print!  I won't need to rely on a caster!

Just need to draw up the pulley and make the necessary angle adjustments.  The top piece is done.

Just need the pulley wheel.  Once done, I will tweak it to make it aesthetically pleasing.

Removed all the rough edges.  This will help with ease of sanding without fillers.

Added flush mounting holes for the screws.

Top mounting piece took forever to get the curvature correct and clearance for the magnet wire.

Minor fixing to the oiler.  Now done.  I measured the top mechanism and will begin work tomorrow.

Got some time to kill this coming weekend.  I will be tinkering with this.

Wow, I’ve never seen one of these. Will you fabricate new blades?

I will be fabricating the whole thing as I don't own it.  All I have are pictures.  I will CAD it and cast it.  I will attempt to wound the motor, if not, I will find out who can.

I can't even understand what that thing on the back is supposed to do?  I like the Demott mechanism better anyway...that will be my excuse...cause IDK.

Russ...why did you not tell me about this drawing...this sort of thing excites me!  It is a thing of beauty.  It draws out exactly how the mechanism is laid out and works!

Took me all day today to draw the framework and take measurements.  I did not realize how many parts there are to the Demott motor.  I should have something to show by this weekend.
