A blaze of glory -- The bonfire, held on the last night of the Old Fan Workshop. Geoff Dunaway primes the flame while Bill Fanum and Brett Vaughan warm themselves by the fire.

Eureka!  Bill Fanum, Stephen Chew, Eric Laird and Paul Graves jumpstart the Emerson motor for a test run.  Bill and Paul put their heads together to repair breaks in the windings, thus bringing it new life.

John has figured out a
way to use a linesman's
butt-set to strobe a fan
blade.  :classic_blink:

Good seeing you too, Patrick.  Hope all is well in the Chicago area.

A few more photos ...

Geoff Dunaway's heater collection has a new space in a barn that bears a sign with his name.

The Old Fan Barn, spacious and comfortable, has displayed fans on the second story and an entrance to Geoff's workshop on the first floor.

Actually, I was restoring a Wilton "Bullet" vise.

What I was holding is the slide jaw.

Was sanding out some minor shallow dings (mis-strikes) before painting.

Will be a definite upgrade from the P-O-S Monkey Wards vise!

A long shot,...  I know.     A really long shot!

If someone has a spare set of pipe jaws, lemme know.
