It really doesn't matter, but the little blue leaf(?) next to my name when posting in the forums indicates I am classified as an Apprentice? Curious as to why and how our skills are now classified or rated? Never noticed this before? Also I have been a paid member for a number of years, I think since 2008 =/-. since the new website launch I am now a new member? Anyone else take a rank demotion? lol Well at least I wasn't asked to resign or take early retirement! 😜

It is kind of silly, isn't it? When the new forum went into service everybody started on a level playing field regardless of everything.

Mark, It really doesn't matter to me since I'm always asking for advice or direction and have been around long enough to know the guys that respond to my questions know what they are talking about from actual experience! That said, newer members have now have to wonder about the credibility and advice of our members. I know that everyone on the board is a volunteer and I truly appreciate their hard work!

The "rank" is set by how many posts you have made on the new forum software. It has nothing to do with your level of experience of time as an AFCA member. 🙂

Yeah, somehow I'm some sort of "mentor". I restore fans with duct tape and Crayola crayons. I find the wax of the crayons helps inhibit oxidation.
