Ya. I saw this blade alone, or something damn close to it for sale a few months ago on marketplace. I thought it was for some old washing machine. I guess not. I did a brief scan in google patents back then for the blade. I guess I am going to have to do a more involved scan. This is in IL.

Notice the opposed wing castings. One has a leading sharp tip, the other rounded. 

Walter Upson designed blades for GE and Torrington using what I would call a fluid principle. The effect the blade would have in water. Like a boat prop. I am not basing this on my knowledge or education, just how I reason it.
