Bergman

Here's a revised contract from fall of 84 in which Sprague will now make fans for Edison instead of Bergman. We've seen proof of early Bergman's. This paper indicates that Edison must have had "something" if a signed agreement was needed. There was reference to Edison putting a blade on a motor to speed up the carbonization of his bamboo for his bulb.  1889 it's written that Crocker is making fans for Edison and Sprague as they thought fans making was a bit below them. (not for resale but for actual use)They changed their tune shortly. Now let's see if this posts?

Nice catch, Loren. Stefan posted the 83 Bergmann & Co. catalogue with fan motors on the old website you are probably aware. 94 electric trade has Edward Johnson stating he thought he was ahead of Wheeler mounting a fan blade on an Edison motor. Bergmann supported Johnson in 94 in a letter experimenting with fan blades he thought as early as 82. Johnson openly stated he never thought enough of the fan motor at that time to file any patents.
