I have the fan shown in the first post.  It was brought back from Spain, and the motor tag was swapped out by the Spanish importer.  I always wondered what brand it was. It has a really cool cage. It’s painted a very dark green color. Almost black.

To my errant eye, the areas of
reflected light and the angle in
which the illustration depicts
make it appear there is an abrupt
planar vertical surface (yellow).

I call 'em recesses.

A machinist would call 'em spotfaces.
