Tim Babcock Posted June 16, 2024 Posted June 16, 2024 I picked up a GE pancake fan at the Harrison meet this week end. The indicator is missing but the knob on it does not go down far enough to lock the indicator in. I am thinking someone put a large knob on where a small one should go. Or is there some kind of spacer that goes in between the large knob and indicator. Quote
Steve Cunningham Posted June 16, 2024 Posted June 16, 2024 There were two sizes of knobs. I think pre 1900 had smaller knobs. Kim Frank would know. Quote
Kim Frank Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 If it uses the pointer, then the large knob is correct. There is a spacer that goes between the knob and pointer. Quote
Bob Peshoff Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Where's Steve Stephens when you need him..... Quote
Kim Frank Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Is it back switched or base switched? If back switched, is it 2 speed or five speed. Pictures show a base switch 5 speed with large knob and indicator, a back switched 1902 5 speed with large knob and indicator, and a 1901 back switched 2 speed with small knob. It didn't use an indicator pointer. Quote
