Jimmy Vineyard
Have an old 10 inch Westinghouse single speed and it's running clockwise with blade setup for counter. Changed wiring, straight wired, even reversed the rotor to get rotation running correctly but it puts head wires close to fan. Any guidance appreciated. Not to mention it's running about 140 degrees temp wise. Thanks

Jimmy Vineyard
In addition, running what I thought was hot. Tops at about 140 degrees. Here is pic of amps from meter. Thanks.

Steve Sherwood
Did you take the motor out?
Jimmy Vineyard
Sorry, just saw this. amp reading is 1.05 I did not remove stator. However, I did put the rotor back in reversed from what it was when I got it.....and it's turning in correct counter-rotation now. Just running really warm at 130 degrees. Little smell. Thanks
Stan Adams
That is a whole lot of current for a small fan! I prefer wattage, but you should be running less than 60 watts or about half of what yours is running.
