Managed to get a lot accomplished on the “old ivory” 75046 from the Palmer House in Chicago. Blades are going to take a lot more work. I kind of scratched them a bit using 0000 steel wool. I hope I didn’t ruin them. Might have to ship this off to someone. I was about 80% sure I was going to paint them but after seeing it like this I’m thinking maybe polished!

Looking good! Those scratches should come out on a buffing wheel.

Wet sand them with 1000 then 2000 grit. Then hand or machine polish. Make sure the scratches are gone before going to the 2000 grit.

I guess I gotta be real delicate around the parker logo huh?

1000 grit shouldn't take out the logo. All the sanding should be done lightly, checking your work frequently as you go.
