Emerson Felt colors

OK on the homestretch here on the ivory 75046 from the Palmer house hotel. What color felt should I do? There was zero trace of the original felt on this thing. Anyone know what color Emerson used on their 1930s era ivory Fans? (This is from 1930). Being that it was a custom color and probably part of a big hotel order I guess the Palmer house may have specified a certain color for the felt?
I despise green but I have a green that’s a little bit more of an earthy olive green and it’s the better quality wool felt so I’m actually considering that. I  usually do black on everything, but I think it would be too harsh on this fan even though the head wire and AC cord or black as well as the motor tag.
I have this sort of “greige” color but it’s just the cheaper type felt which I’d be OK with I guess. And then someone suggested red but I just don’t think I can go there even though I have a kind of nice deep red.
Also have a sort of sienna brown…. Might be appropriate if I put that color power cord on it, but I think I’m just sticking with the black.

I don’t have an answer for you ,but that the fan came out really nice!👍

Thanks Paul. I’m pretty tickled about it. Still gotta mount the motor tag. And the carry handle. I may have to use one of my Bravi collars eventually. This one has a little herky jerky slop in it when it oscillates and I can’t figure out why. Not the end of the world in and of itself…but there are some tiny cracks near the screw too. So…

Not correct to Fan but I found a faux leather ( Joann Fabrics )that I like with ivory.  I liked it so much I also covered a barber chair with it. 20240907_161801.thumb.jpg.b581d328def614f3a0d2e53bc9e277f6.jpg20240907_161825.thumb.jpg.0a5df3fc39f56cb55e913eb9ebc2e2dd.jpg

Possibly. I did find a nicer sort of buckskin color wool (35%) felt (middle photo and top photo os where I’ve cut a small strip and wrapped it around the base). I may try that but as of now I’m leaving it the greige sort of color (bottom photo)

Was that one of the precut rectangular pices they sell???? If so, that’s probably what I have on there now. I’ve been calling it greige cause it’s sort of gray, sort of beige.

If memory serves I think I bought half a yard off a roll.

Basically I took one of the painted parts and chose something I thought would work.
I’m actually thinking of replacing the felt with a more contrasting one.   It’s a little too “matchy matchy” for me know.

Gotcha! I really prefer their higher end felt that’s more wool…like 35%. It’s about $12-14 per yard versus the regular cheaper stuff. I feel like it’s a tad thinner and not so fuzzy as the cheaper stuff. But…the color selection is more limited.
Generally black (which is my usual go to color on just about everything). I think last time I saw a white, and I bought this green that’s actually kind of nice cause it’s sort of faded and more olive green looking than the typical really intense green you see most of the time. I went to a local fabric shop a few days ago and found this nice buckskin color in the wool too….so that’s probably  my choice if I elect to swap out this greige that I’ve gone ahead and mounted. In the second pic I have a strip of it laid around it.

Joann fabric runs coupons on felt. Even their good stuff. Get their app on your phone to get the percent off coupons.
