Tim Babcock
The fan is marked 42X548. the badge is just GE. No whiz written on it anywhere. Is this indeed a whiz or an earlier version? I need to source a oscillator wheel for it and not sure what exactly to call it. Thanks Photo is not my fan but the same cat. number as mine on line. Steve Rockwell
It's post-Whiz... beyond which, this one is a 10-inch fan... Edited September 18 by Steve Rockwell
James Lawson
Yep - it's the "replacement" for the Whiz in so many words. That cage dates it to around '33 or so.
Tim Babcock
Will the oscillator wheel from a whiz also fit this fan? That would give more more options.
Jeff Rusnak
It’s basically a GE Wiz just an updated version with a 10” blade and updated 1930’s cage !!
