Daemen Cook Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 I have recently come into possession of a 14 inch 1930s General Electric Quiet Blade Fan. I'm not sure how to exactly tell the year on one. It does have the motor tag on it though. Anyways, it's missing some parts, most notably the oil cups. I need to know if some 1/2 inch oil cups off of a GE Vortalex would fit, and if not, what oilers would fit this fan? I can't seem to find any for this fan specifically. It's also missing the speed coil, but I can get it working without one. It'd be nice to know where I can get one though. One last question, what should I use to polish the blades? Anything info helps Quote
Daniel Herczeg Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Could you send a picture of it, or say what the model number is? Quote

Daniel Herczeg Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Vortalex oil cups should fit it, I have a very similar fan that uses vortalex oil cups. Quote

Michael Bouthiller Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 BTW it’s a 12 inch model form AQ1 from 1934-1935 Quote
Daniel Herczeg Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 I used my trusty 49x929 as a point of reference, as it seems GE fans used the same motor for a while. Quote

I measured at the cage, so that's probably where I got 14 inches from. Thank you for correcting me, and thank you for getting a year for me Quote
