Daemen Cook Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 I'm currently taking apart my Quiet Blade to put a new cord on it. It seems that I'll need to take the stator out, but it seems pretty stuck. Any tips on getting it out? Also, the blade seems stuck on the shaft as well. I took out the set screw. Is it just stuck or is something else holding it on? Quote
Bobby Gaines Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 I use a steering wheel puller,works great. 2 Quote
Lane Shirey Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Using a puller in that manner has the potential to distort the end bell on a stamp steel housing. If you’re gonna use a puller, support it on the thin edge of the housing. 1 Quote
Paul Carmody Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 (edited) Bobby’s probably done a hundred Whiz fans + others that way. I do it caveman.Open the vise past stator coils ,slam it down a couple of times and the stators even with case. Now that is lose just tap it out with a rod ,punch.( Thanks Stan for that tip!)I did it that way on one with rust.No oil, freeze, heat.
