I was under the impression all Emerson 12 series were 104 volt. Is that incorrect? Found this 12646 and it’s 115v. I thought maybe it was a factory rewind or something but the tag is not “over-stamped” like I would think would be the case. Regardless….pretty stoked to have one of these that I maybe don’t really need to worry about using a variac with. Anyhow….its in pretty great original condition aside from some rust only the rib base. Cage doenst have a single broken s wire. Likely going to leave it patina’d.

Thanks. It was about a five hour roundtrip. This after being up at 3:30am, driving an hour and a half to work, working all day, then finding this and making an good offer and hitting the road at five o’clock in the evening! Well worth it though.

Misconception:  I have a 104-volt Emerson 12646 model, thus I have the earlier model.

Fact:  Emerson wound the type 12646 AC motors for 104-120 volts based on consumer preference. And the 12646 type model was not the only type AC model wound for these voltages.
