Michael Rathberger Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Thanks to Jim and Sandy. Nice day, nice time. Rehomed several items, saw something I hadn't seen before, and got a custom stencil from Rob's museum. One of the great things about a regional is over time you get to know people and what they collect. It took a few years but I got a fan into the right hands finally. Nice to see everyone and the all electric charger is a pretty cool car.... 6 Quote
Jim Roadt Posted May 11 Posted May 11 I can't believe Deb let go of some of her museum collection 1 Quote
Patrick Ray Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Hats off to Sandy and Jim! Such a great time! Great....urrr... Powder coat seminar 😂 So many electric motors and fans, had to add a couple more electric motors to the show. Bit more modern versus the cool bi-polars on the tables.  5 Quote
Christian Kasprzyk Posted May 11 Posted May 11 I had such an incredible time! Thanks to Jim and Sandy for the best time of my life!(no joke!) I got some amazing stuff to add to the collection! I learned so much and made some wonderful new friends. It was a great first meet and I can’t wait to go to another down the road! That powder coat demo was certainly… interesting. Still learned a lot from it! Thanks again! 1 1 Quote
Jim Roadt Posted May 13 Posted May 13 My intention was for this to be the last Fanapalooza, however, everyone seemed to have a good time including the Hosts. Thanks to everyone that came, they are what makes a regional meets special ( and 70 degree perfect weather helps) 3 Quote
Jim Roadt Posted May 13 Posted May 13 New members first timers and old timers all got to see fans they have never seen before, stuff they have never seen before at the Museum of stuff and witness a powder coating seminar like they have never seen before.  If there is a Fanapalooza IV I will practice more prior to seminar 1 Quote

I don't know if you have been paying attention to current events, but it appears you may have to build another garage for the next Fanapalooza. 🙂 Congratulations on your efforts and the meet's success! Anyone can do the shiny smooth one. I started with the more difficult temperature sensitive, slip resistant , Kung fu grip texture method . Next year will be the simple shiny black method seminar 3 Quote

H-C started marketing them in 97 with laminated stators marketed for direct current. The 2 H-C examples to the left have laminated stators. This makes them potentially capable for either alternating or direct current option. The example on the right is a later 00-02 example with removeable rear end bell for armature and field winding removal. with cast field for DC only. 1902 was the last year for H-C desk fans on the market. 1903 + H-C marketed ventilators only. 1897-1899 model. 1900-1902 model. Jim Roadt Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Is this regifting? Or is Ray the luckiest man on earth to find two of these 2 Quote

Michael Rathberger Posted May 21 Author Posted May 21 (edited) You put the blade on the other side and it becomes a vent fan. Marelli had it all baby /s. That fan is perfect original. Beautiful. I saw it, had no idea Marelli. The owner was kind enough to explain it. Calling into question its originality without any proof is a diservice to the club. I was happy to see it. And this one, I even took the step to ask the wife if she had a check.., Edited May 21 by Michael Rathberger 1 Quote
