Hamilton Beach home motor restoration complete

I finished restoring (if you want to call it that) this little motor. It required new brushes but otherwise worked perfectly well.

I did finally decide to repaint the motor tag but left the body of the fan bare. I may paint it at some point.

I installed a switch in the line and as you can see, it runs "scary fast" to quote my daughter. Now the hunt begins for an original blade, cage and struts.

Came out nice David!

I had one of those for a short time just like it except instead of where yours says home motor it said sewing machine. It had the foot switch that came with it.They make neat little fans that’s for sure.

Thanks Paul. I would really like to get an original blade and cage for this or, if that is not possible, perhaps find someone who would lend me the missing parts so that I can have them made. I bet Don Coleman could reproduce the badge if I could get a good closeup of it.
