David A Cherry Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Verily, this minuscule fellow was fated for the rubbish heap ere I chanced upon it. Methinks I did part with too great a sum, for the seller did beseech $75, yet through haggling, I did talk down to $35, Pity moved my heart, thus I brought it home, intent on mending its state. In truth, it hath turned out most pleasing, albeit not evident in the image, that it bears a delightfully small brown Bakelite switch, worth, I dare say, twenty coin or more alone. Quote
Thomas Peters Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Enjoyed this fan, along with your olde english narrative. Quote
George Durbin Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 My wife likes any fan as long as it's NOT black! Good work Mr. Cherry! Quote
Russ Huber Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 (edited) Nice little guy you have. Your post inspired me to dig this model ( I stole the images below from an active Ebay listing) out of my stash and disassemble it. I now have another box project thanks to you. 🙂 The Ebay listing claims theirs/mine is a Victor of Cincinnati product. I am inclined to believe it is a Chicago Electric Mfg. Co. product just like yours. The stator and windings on mine are not cheaply done. The bearings are brass. Identical motor to pivot mounting. Edited August 1, 2023 by Russ Huber Quote
