Lane Shirey
Hello folks, it’s about a month to go until the Fall Fan Fest in Central PA. There are 2 different events and venues: both require registration to help us plan for food. Fall Housekeeping Fan Sale Friday Sept 15th- Location: York, PA. This event is for AFCA members and their guests only. Registered guests on the AFCA forum may also attend. This event will be held at our home in York. This is a preview event for the Saturday meet. I will have a number of tables full of fans for sale at this event. All of these are out of my personal collection. Most of these fans will not be going to the Saturday meet. There will be restored and unrestored fans ranging from highly collectible to dime store fans. Attendees will also be able to see our collection and fan shop. Registered attendees will receive a message showing the event address. Please note that the meet is on Saturday. This will only be a sale of fans from my collection. Light refreshments will be served. Fall Fan Fest- Regional Fan Meet Saturday Sept 16th- Location: Clayton Eli Emig Memorial Park- Hallam, PA (2 Buttonwood Ln, York, PA 17406). Address comes up as a York address, but it is located in Hallam borough! This is the actual meet. It is open to the public. Tell your AFCA FB friends! There are plenty of tables to set up and easy parking right in front of the pavilion. We will have a loading zone set up to make setup easy. Rain or shine! Lunch for registered attendees will be provided. Because the general public is invited, wristbands will be provided for registered attendees for lunch, so please don’t forget to register. Please register by August 30th so we can plan for food. If you’ve messaged me prior that you plan to attend, please reconfirm with me what days you’ll be here. Thanks! There are already about 20 who have said they’re coming so don’t miss this event! There will be lots of fans for sale at great prices from reputable members. There are plenty of non-fan meet related things to do in the area for spouses that don’t have the same passion for fans that we do, so please bring them along. There are many hotels in the area for any budget, but they fill fast, so don’t wait too long to book a room. Search in the York, PA area or Harrisburg and Lancaster if you don’t mind a little drive. Jeanie and I look forward to seeing you all in York! Edited August 27 by Lane Shirey

Lane Shirey
Please don’t forget to RSVP. Less than a month to go. There are still a number who told me a while ago that they thought they were coming, but haven’t RSVP yet. I must arrange for food in a couple weeks and need a good headcount. Thanks,
Lane Shirey
We’re about 3 weeks until the meet. As of right now there have not been very many RSVPs for the York meet or the Friday fan sale. If you’ve sent your RSVP, Thank You! Id kindly ask you if you haven’t RSVPed and plan to come to the meet, please contact me as soon as possible. I will be planning the quantity of food in the next week or so, and if I don’t have an accurate headcount there will not be enough food to go around. Lane Shirey
For those coming to the meet, you can download the flier on the AFCA calendar (not the forum calendar, yes there are 2 and they’re not synched) Here is the link: https://antiquefancollectors.com/events.html here is the entry in the calendar
Lane Shirey
If you plan to attend Fridays Fan Sale, please contact me for the address. It will be at my shop, not the park where Saturday’s meet is. In the upcoming days, I’ll post a sampling of what will be for sale at the Friday Sale. There will be some good stuff guaranteed! Everything will be priced at exactly what I paid. All fans will be as found. I’ve not touched them, so they should be considered untested. Many I’ve seen run but I have no idea which they are. Just too many fans to restore in my lifetime so time to pare down the reserve of fans.
Lane Shirey
2 weeks to go! I’m starting to gather fans for the Friday sale and the meet. I will be parting with some good stuff. Don’t miss either event!
Lane Shirey
We’re narrowing in on one week until the meet. Please RSVP if you’re planning to come to the meet and haven’t responded. Thanks!
Lane Shirey
It’s gonna be some perfect weekend weather here for the sale and meet. Mid ‘70’s and low humidity! No rain in the forecast. If you’re coming to the Friday fan sale, make sure you have the right address. It is at our house, not the same pavilion as the Saturday meet. Contact me for the address if you’re coming. I tried to post some preview pics of some of the fans that will be for sale on Friday. But some folks felt the need to get snarky about it, so I pulled the post. Now you’ll have to wait until Friday to see the goodies. You’ll like what you see. The Friday sale will start around noon, until about 6, and the Saturday meet is 9 to 5. Please plan to arrive on Saturday after 9 so the pavilion is ready to go when you arrive. The park may also not be open yet if you arrive too early. There will be a few reserved temporary parking spaces at the pavilion for unloading. Feel free to use them, but kindly unload then move your car to another parking space. All parking is very close. Please note there are 3 pavilions in the park. We have the MAPLE pavilion. As you enter the park, it’s uphill to the left. Look for the AFCA sign. We’re looking forward to seeing all of our fan friends this weekend! Safe travels for all of you coming from a distance.
