Jim Dunn
Hi All. Such lovely comments above from some of the people who got to know Jan.We got to get to know each other well over the years, primary through our love for fans and collecting, but as Michael mentioned Jan had many interests apart from his passion for collecting fans and their restoration. Thanks very much for your offer Paul to help .I’ve been in touch with James his son and I will be helping him put together an obituary for his father that we will put forward to go into the afca magazine. Please feel free to contact me ( I’m in the AFCA directory)if you have anything you think might be nice to add. There are some beautiful pictures already posted here of Jan.Thanks everyone.

Confused here... I'd already posted that I was writing this up on here, and in a new post, and was already in communication with James and Pat Daggs about this... Jim - I just jumped in to do this, as I felt it was very important. I'm happy to know you will be taking care of this important work Thank you. Jim Henderson
Never hurts to have more than one tribute to Jan Hendricks. FYI. Jim Daggs is no longer with us.

At first your comment confused me. Then I realized, you were confused! I was referring to James, Jan's son, not Jim Daggs... However, now that I know Jim Dunn is going to put an obituary together with James, I am happy to 'relinquish' this additional burden on my time. Thanks all! Jim Dunn
I’m really Sorry Paul I didn’t mean to step on your toes nor realise you had been in touch with james about writing the obituary. I didn’t mean to offend or take over.. nor am I particularly good at it. I agree with Jim “never hurts to have more than one tribute” so anyone please feel free to contact me or share your stories here on the site. Any contributions to share your experiences would be awesome and I’m sure would be enjoyed and appreciated by all… especially Jan if he’s looking down at us and reading them. He was very proud of his achievements and loved his friendships he’d made through fans in the club and beyond. Pat Daggs just e-mailed me about the article on Jan.... I apologized as I had thought she was in the loop here! I told her that in fact someone else was writing the article, but I already couldn't remember who... I'll tell her it's you.... now that I've found this thread again! Hope you're having a great long holiday Weeknd and the article s gong well. Pm

Sean Campbell
Very sorry to hear about this. I didn't know Jan well, but we spoke a few times and this is incredibly sad.
