Head wires

Does somebody know how to search for the head wires (usually 2) that go to the power cord. I've had a couple motors that I had to have rewound due to the head wires being froke too far into the windings. I'm sure theres a way to be able to find the source of each wire when that happens just not sure how to go about finding them.

You would have to partially unwrap the stator coils and try to find the broken end. All the while being very careful not to damage any of the magnet wire insulation.  Sometimes you get lucky, usually not.
