Bracket on a 6"

Doubt original but bracket is stamped a F4 and paint matched. It was cheap enough and can always find a use.

FWIW.....which ain't much of a hill of beans without facts, but that looks like the real deal.

The F4 stamped on the bracket is what's intriguing Russ. Who knows. I'll take it to Indy and let the GE expert look it over. I have not seen it before that I can remember.

It seems a little odd to me that the mounting portion isn’t flush with the back of the bracket.   It would limit the places it could be mounted.  Plus it looks crazy thick for what it’s supporting.   Now that I’ve chimed in, Russ will find something proving it’s real and confirming I’m not a detective.   😁

Stamped F4 and paint matched......The chips are stacked in Mike's favor. I sense a Royal Flush around the corner.

How often does one get an F4 stamping with matching paint, Steve?  Give the man a high five.

Bracket looks very specific,  not one that was designed to be generic and mount anywhere.

The bracket is cast brass. The width is right for the motor mount. Like Anthony I find it specifically odd, it's mount is designed to be mounted from back of a board although I suppose it could be reversed too. It's the F4 I keep going back to. They did have an F designation. Again, not enough in it to worry about.

Michael, the fact I offered an opinion almost guarantees it’s legit!  My guesses are always wrong.  You can call home and ask my wife.  😉

Google books are expanding/opening up for full reads now at mid to late 20s. I tried to scan for it and no luck.... so far.

I was just jerking your chain. Until one can find something to support it on the market, it's just a thing-of a-Bob. 🙂

I figured it would be good to get it out there is all. I saw it the first time at a June show it was still there last week and cheaper. What the heck.
