Todd Adornato Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 While browsing the wares at an antiques store today, my gf and I came across two examples of a Hunter (i.e., GE) loop fan, both of which were billed as having BC / BB. The better of the two had the earlier style brass oscillator bell, but when I tried googling the model number (“12”) for more info, I struck out. Here’s a pic of the motor tag; can anyone impart any info about this fan? Degree of commonness, reputation for reliability, and value? This one had a price tag of $285, which I’m pretty sure was quite a bit high, but how high is that? Thanks. Quote
Steve Stephens Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 If all parts of the motor and base are magnetic I think that would be a GE model rebadged for Hunter. If parts are non-magnetic it will be a hunter made version which, after the GE versions, had a lot of pot metal parts. Brass parts of course will be non-magnetic. Watch for the oscillator bell which was brass on the GE made models, not brass on the Hunter ones. 1 Quote
