G.E. Fan Question

I picked up this G.E. fan the other day for 50$. I stripped it down and when I got to the blades they weren't brass but had a copper color underneath the paint. I've never seen this on a G.E. fan before. Blades are magnetic and I'm currently in the process of getting all this awful green paint off of it. The paint is not original and is very thin and all over the rotor and wiring along with the blades and badge. I can't find much info on the this particular fan on the old forum. Here is the tag. I'm guessing it's 1917-21 ish?

That one is slam-bang in the 1916-1917 period, low-likelihood possibility 1918. If you want a single year to hang on its tag, my money's on 1916... Got a label on the base plate?

Ahh nice to know! will post more pictures this evening. I wasn't too excited on this fan but these copper plated blades will look cool I think. I've never seen one.

I posted this blade in The Forum years ago, my friend Henry Polgreen having spoken to me about having had GEs with red copper..... It was suggested in reply that toilet bowl cleaner can leave such an effect.....

and likely other agents do so as well..... These blades are solidly brass, however...

Yeah, these blades are steel. They're a little rough looking and out of balance but we'll see how they turn out. Here's a picture of the base plate and blades.
