Rick Eisenbeisz
So, just curious, which fan is worth more, a Emerson 19645 or a Emerson 19644. In the same condition. Any opinions??? Rick Edited November 19 by Rick Eisenbeisz

Any opinions??? Rick The 19645 9" is the successor to the 19644 8" model. The 19644-manufacture timeline is 1914-15. The 19645-manufacture timeline is 1916-19. What is strange in the Emerson factory data in the INFO section is the 8" model for 1913. There is none listed for 1913.
John Trier
I have an opinion and I’ve been thinking about this very thing. Cast hub blades are a big sweet spot with me, and not only does Emerson have cast hubs, but theirs are cast iron. So there is little difference between the 19644 and the 19645 visually. My preference is solidly toward the 19645 because of the small cast iron hub. I think they also hold the edge in rarity too. Ironically, I just found one minus the switch and posted a question about it a few weeks ago. It was in a shop with a $350 price tag. I took it up front to haggle. I used a line I learned, that the fan had an unresolvable issue. They were nice but didn’t offer any more than 10%. I said thanks but I would pass and I left. Something drew me back the next day. There sat the fan with a new tag at $150 minus 10% so I bought it for $135. Worth that but I still need the switch. 2

John Deats
Give Chad Baker a call at antique fan parts. He might have the part you need.

Switch from a 21,24, 26, 27645 ought to work & serve a higher cause in the fan U picked up. Not sure about the 28 & 29645's though

Not sure about the 28 & 29645's though I know where a 21645 has been sitting for sale for years. It's roasted and overpriced with almost nothing good on it. I never looked to see if it had a switch. I know the dealer and might be able to do a trade.
