So ... You want to remove that springy plate in the base of your Silver Swan ...?

Here's a trick I learned from Dave Dimitrion to remove the hard-to-reach plate in the base of a Silver Swan. Essentially, a plate is cut and drilled with two screws, offset from one another, so that it fits inside the base. Once inserted into the base, the plate comes out easily. I've never removed one of these springs ... now I know how.

Thanks for sharing that Jeff. Looks much better than the functional plywood tool. Any chance of posting dimensions and hole spacing?

You can use the Capacitor Cover as a template for the holes.
