Russ Huber
OK!......If there are NO GE GREEN Sprague star or bell oscillators or stationaries out there with brushes for direct current, the CORRECT green Sprague DC Jim Roadt owns was on the market for only 2 seasons of 19 AND 20. Sprague DC oscillator - Pre-1950 (Antique) - Antique Fan Collectors Association - AFCA Forums Once again, it appears the Robert Lundell fan motor designed and patented in 1892 remained on the market from 1892-1920. The Interior Conduit/Sprague Lundell DC fans evolved over the years, but the Lundell DC motor design was a legend. Bobby Lundell smoked up big time DC names like Charlie Eck, etc. Tommy Edison don't count, all he did was take credit for everyone else's ideas, fact Jack. Charleston Green rattle can and heated. I believe it was Alex Rushing's technique I used ( described on old forum ) Charleston Green is difficult to find now and still not dark enough to match the color Steve Stephens has on his original Sprague Edited February 26, 2022 by Jim Roadt misspelled Stephens sorry steve
Steve Rockwell
Thank You Jim. Do you think it ever had a tag? Did you fill in holes for the rivet pins? Doesn't appear to have had one, all the curved-shape would have been a challenge... Odd though, isn't it? I'd like to know what that would have said... It did have a portion of the motor tag but was unsalvageable. I currently have a member( hopefully still) digging through his numerous boxes looking for the broken down sprague stump with the complete tag

Russ Huber
Terry Fisher's example dates 1910-16. Notice his motor housing splits dead center. He has the Lundell patented single coil DC field.
Russ Huber
What kind of field does YOUR 1919-20 have in it? 1919 Electrical trade supports a field change of some sort. Yes or no?
