  6. Hello Everyone, just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Keith and I live in Houston, Tx. I picked up a couple of fans from an estate sale on Saturday from what had to have been from a former member of this community as there were lots and lots of old fans. Both fans work but the larger one, has a stripped (screw and wingnut) that adjust the tilt. Also is missing the bolt that connects the oscillator arm to the wheel. The smaller one doesn’t seem to blow very much air and got really hot pretty quick. I would like to learn how old these are and how to get them functioning properly. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Keith

  8. Bill, ingenuity at its best…! Just a note…..I’ve found that drill bits are fine for getting close to what I needed. Then I use a hand reamer, that leaves a smooth hole to get it to the desired size. The reamers weren’t cheap but proved invaluable in the long run.

  15. Rob Schilz's collection is eclectic. Jim jokingly dubbed it the Rob Schilz Museum of Stuff. Rob owns a nice, early Westinghouse Tesla. The switch is a faithful reproduction made by Dave Dimitrion.

  22. Pillsbury started at the H. E. Lindsey Electrical Supply Company in 02 and worked at turning it into a manufacturing facility. The first Pillsbury AC CF it appears was brought to market through that St. Louis facility in 03 more than likely in small numbers. By 04 it was renamed the Century Electric Co. So, if you have a Pillsbury AC CF with H. E. Lindsey company on the tag, you are fortunate.
