  1. I have a question on bearing removal. On the earlier ones I’ve worked on they had the threaded bearing keeper.I decided to not try and remove.I see no reason. Its clean as a whistle and free as a bird.Yet I would like to know if they are removable if ever the need arises. It appears to have a C clip or spring steel keeper in the grove.First photo.I picked at it and it is too tight to risk breaking the case ,unless I’m missing something? Then in the back it appears to be a pin I suppose holds the bearing race.I tugged on it and I don’t see it coming out.It may not need too if the front keeper was removed?Any ideas? I have been piddling with this GE on and off.I have been on a fan buying spree and have to monkey with each one and get nothing done.It just needs paint and reassemble on this one.
