Dan Nguyen
Appeared in Vietnam. The seller said that it is 100% original. Some say it's a Frankenfan, made of Diehl sewing machine parts, and a 50's fan. I want to know what people think? sewing machine fan.mp4 Edited June 4, 2022 by Dan Nguyen
Thomas Peters
Do not believe this complete assembly will be found in any Diego catalog. Parts of it might be though.
Michael Rathberger
I think the blade cage pulley struts and shaft housing are right and correct. They did make a belt operated fan but not sure it was ever foot operated, I thought motored. That's the part that may be home made.

Jim Kovar
Hi, Dan..What first caught my eyewas the beautiful ornatecast iron. Love it! Then,... upon closerinspection of the pictures,I noticed the die castaluminum pulley. The ejector pin marks, which I circled, are tell-talesigns of die castings.Ornate cast iron, machinedand knurled oilers, brassriveted blades, and wrappedbrass wire cages all are laborintensive and expensive,...in comparison to a die castaluminum pulley.Incongruity?, IDK. Dan Nguyen
Thank you very much! I have received a lot of useful information from your comments! After posting this post, there have been at least 3 machine tripods made in cast iron and brass was advertised for sale here in Vietnam at a rather high price. It seems that many people in Vietnam interest with this pedal fan model. Dan Nguyen
