Tim Babcock
I was at a flea market yesterday and I saw this Westinghouse electric motor. Its not a full size motor but its not for some home sewing machine. It must have been for a industrial sewing machine. She is an old one, I would say 20s or 30s. It ran well. The price was and get this 8 bucks. LOL. I thought someone had monkeyed with the price but now its 8 bucks. There was a vintage 50s Sunbeam 6.5 inch Circular saw. Sunbeam the company that made the home kitchen appliances. It ran well and they were asking 4 bucks. Its almost that for a bottle of coke nowadays. Anyway I thought I could maybe make a fan out of parts. I would have to search for some ideas but it could be a neat project. The motor is about half size of a full on 1/2 or 3/4 HP motor. For some reason the serial no and model are etched out. If anyone has any information on this fan and what sewing machine it would have been on I would be interested to know. Thanks . Tim Babcock
I wonder why mine has the model and serial No electro penciled out? Strange. It looks like it was factory done also.

Tim Babcock
WOW they really over did the motor on that sewing machine. I could run a small table saw on that motor.
John Landstrom
My thoughts are leaning to a Rube Goldberg style design with pulleys leading to a blade on a taller stand. Got:me thinking about the motor I have.
