Sophie Braswell
A Jandus C-Frame is a fan I have longed for since I first saw one in person about 5 years ago. Figured it would always be a dream and never a reality. Well, that all changed at this year's Fan Fair. I did not go to Fan Fair with the idea of buying ANY fan, let alone my dream fan. After much consideration, I decided to take the plunge. Thanks to Stephen Sanders for letting me be the next caretaker of this beautiful fan!

David Kilnapp
Now you need to buy a cord minder for your Jandus from Louis Luu. He just made up a batch and you need one for the concave struts.
Jim Henderson
I don't see where you need a cord minder for this motor. The power cord enters directly under the motor. Why would you want to attach it to a strut?
Jim Kovar
Congrats on the acquistion of your dream fan, Sophie. How the magic works...
Paul Michael
Congratulations Sophie! These are mechanical mind- and eye- candy! A must have for a fan lover.@David KilnappI have a C-frame with this same motor (it appears) that does not use a strut-mounted cord minder. It had a rigid brass clamp attached with a front motor housing screws adjacent one of the lower struts, and it wraps the cord at the strut and directs the loose part not fully 90º toward the back. I am sure it is original, but it appears Sophie's here does not have such a device. I have not taken it off, and don't plan to at this time... Tiem for the 'experts' to weigh in! 😉
David Kilnapp
Hi Paul. I've seen that rigid brass clamp and I actually made one that attached to one of the front motor housing screws. After a time, I removed it because I didn't like the look of it. Louis Luu's reproduction clamp should do the trick nicely. I do agree that pushing the wire up to the strut with a strut mounted cord minder might not be the way to go but for $20 I'm willing to invest in the cord minder that Louis made. Plus I always want to support the fine craftsmen like Louis who are willing to do these sorts of things for the club.
