John McComas
Well after about a year sitting around on the bench I got around to finally finishing the 1923 9 in Emerson Red badge Junior. I needed to weld the cage paint it and beat the crap out of the blade to straighten out the wings. I added head wire and cord, (seven foot rubber heater cord. I balanced and retweaked the wings so it runs at 1550 RPM and draws 49 Watts at 122 volts. What do you think it's worth these days for a 100-year-old fan?

Russ Huber
Psssssssssssst.....looks nice. The next Emerson Junior which was made in 1923 had an attractive red, black, and brass badge. It was available in both oscillator and non-oscillator models. The base was covered and contained a switch. The fan still sat on four rubber feet. The juniors introduced in 22 were plug in only models 1922-24. The ON-OFF switch was introduced in 1925. The first junior oscillator was introduced in 1926. 1925 1926 Edited November 13 by Russ Huber

Since it has an improper rubber cord I can take it off your hands for $29.95 not the usual hunnert thou if it was proper... 😊 Geo...
Russ Huber
This Emerson Jr. reference in the old website link below in the INFO section could use some correction updating. I myself have no clue as to when the red badge came into use. What would help is if there are any red badge models that have no switch, that would be a heads up they predate 25. I can't help it George. I got 200 feet of good black rubber heater cord I need to use up.... The headwire is cloth covered from Old Tyme Radio though... That should count for something!🤪
