Phillip L Clay
Hi, The Globes for SAX SAFE-T-FANS are reported to be copper. They do appear to be non-magnetic with a Spanish Copper colored coating. Does anyone know what the coating really is? It does not appear to be a plating. I used some Spanish Copper rub-and buff for now to color the area. I have some areas of color lose apparently from an old solvent splash. Where the color lose occured the color is gray or silver. Vic Valencheck
My Savory Airator dome was painted over brass. But I removed the paint.

Phillip L Clay
The coating is very thin and translucent. I suspect a tinted lacquer.
Phillip L Clay
It appears Xippas was connected to Savory. One of his patents lists Buffalo as his residence. SAX and Savory look identical.

Phillip L Clay
Savory Inc is owned by The Republic Metalware Company. They were known for cookware. Savory seems to have taken over for SAX. I suspect SAX got caught in the 1929 crash. 1913 cookbook http://libcdm1.uncg.edu/cdm/ref/collection/HENP/id/
