12" GE Vortalex Pedestal Restored

Here we have a circa 1947, FM12M11 It has an AB/SC. Oscillates smoothly in three distinct speeds. Runs at 1.1 amps on high. Didn't care for the original color so I powder coated it a mocha metallic. Had to find a custom paint to match for the oscillator housing because the powder doesn't like pot metal. The paint on the blade was in great condition.  Just cleaned and waxed it. Tony Clayton make me the head wire, which matched up perfectly.

Fantastic work Vic. We have the same fan in the living room, albeit not as beautiful.   It’s by far the most used fan in the house.  Nice quiet air mover.   I bet yours ends up the same. 👍
