All brass, 7 inch, contra rotating orbiting fan.

I had a little time on my hands and decided to put some parts together. My neighbor wanted to see the process of how I come up with these things, so I made consecutive videos of the work in progress and put them together from start to finish. I left out the drudgery of cutting, bending, soldering, drilling and tapping chores. I've moved on to restoring a 16 inch Verity's Orbital next.

Cheers,

Bill

I’m just humbled by the talent Bll demonstrated here.   Beautiful work.

I’m temped to make an offer, but my wife would prefer a new car instead.

Bill,

Is it possible for you to list the fan components you used?  Make/model/where you bought them, etc.   I’m very curious.
Looking for a reverse pitch propeller for a project of mine; albeit nothing close to that gem.

Thanks all for the very generous comments.

I tested the battery charge duration and it came to about 3 hours. That's a bit short so, first, I made a trap door for quick battery changes and, second, I ordered an extension cable for the charging plug. That way I can just leave it on the charger and I won't have to change batteries unless I'm in a mobile situation. The 3s battery still isn't here, so I haven't been able to test that one out yet.

Cheers,

Bill

Louis,

Tonight I finished the 16 inch Verity's. I'll post something on it tomorrow. It's sweet!

That fan was gifted to me by a colleague visiting me a long while back.  It came from his dad and was sitting in the corner of the basement.  Just passing it along.  Enjoy.

Bill, that is a very impressive build. Thanks for sharing your creative process with us. Love the counter-rotating design!  Your creative skills are quite amazing and it is impressive the power those small brushless motors have!

Agree with everything Dave Allen says, Bill. I'll only add that I would gladly pay to have you build one for me. Is there any chance you would consider that?
