8" Trojan All Brass Type 58644 completed

Finished up restoring this all brass. It runs in three distinct speeds. Circa 1911. No painting on this one. I sent the whole motor too Mark Olsen to have the stator rewound. He discovered that the rotor shaft had to be replaced and align the bearings. Mark did an awesome job! I can't thank him enough. The fan runs quiet and smooth. This is my second all brass fan. The other is an 8" Western Electric.

Hi Vic-

A very nice looking fan.

If available, would you mind posting motor and choke resistance readings.

Thank you...

Wow, that's really quiet for having pizza slice blades, I was expecting it to sound like an airplane taking off. 🤔

Also why was everyone and their brother making small all brass fans in the 1910s? Was it some sort of fad thing to do then?

GE, Westinghouse, Emerson, Diehl, and R & M all seemed to of had their own version of the 8" all brass fan during the 1910s...

I had written down the stator readings but not the choke readings. The three readings I get are 31, 274, and 244 ohms. Need any more info let me know.

Will do, thank you. I'm not up to this one yet, but figured it would be useful to have the info in my back pocket.

Thanks...
