Louis Luu
Need some help identify year. These were from a Pullman train. I have seen quite a few variations of Diehl Pullman fans but never a 6 inch casted cage. I'm guessing these were meant for the passenger side due to the closed cage. Fan runs on 32V DC. I only have one red example. If you have one in your collection, please post pictures. Edited June 1, 2022 by Louis Luu

David Allen
Those are neat! Love the different colors. Did they have any sort of switch? It's amazing that they have a cast blade. Would think that would be super heavy!
Michael Rathberger
I'll dig through the pile. I have something similar but I remember mine to be manufactured by westy, same 32V. Cast aluminum? Switch would appear to be Cutler hammer.
Louis Luu
I'll dig it out of storage this weekend. I have to box some of them and ship them off.

Louis Luu
Just pulled them out of storage. The pitch on that cast aluminum blade is crazy. If it were me, I shine the whole thing up. Will be shipping them out Monday/Tuesday.
Michael Rathberger
Mine is later I think. Sunburst cage, squarer blade tips. It is a diehl after all, missing cage tag. I Iike yours better...
Mike Kearns
A related side note: designer and inventor M(alcolm) S.(ewall) Park was the son of Franklin Atwood Park, VP of both Singer and Diehl: Edited June 6, 2022 by Mike Kearns
Louis Luu
I got an email Bobby Gains stating that "I hooked it up to 32 v DC and it ran great on all three speeds." Does anyone know of a suitable snap switch to put on this fan?
Russ Huber
Vintage correct time period 3 speed switch from Cutler-Hammer. They are fairly plentiful out there on vintage appliances. 1498401123814615752-02205482 (storage.googleapis.com)
