Russ Huber Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 (edited) For the Century fan hard cores. Is this S4 6 wing oscillator visually factory correct? Yes or no. If no, what makes it not correct? Edited June 26, 2022 by Russ Huber Quote
Louis Luu Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 It is not correct because it should be mine? Quote

We have recently had some Century desk fan saturation on the forum. So, come on people, give Randy Rohr's S4 oscillator a good look over with the fan motor components visible. Everything check out factory, or not? Quote

Russ Huber Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 You can survive on one kidney, so you can live without his other. Now, back to the S4. Quote
Russ Huber Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 Original Century residence 6 wing blade. Quote
Russ Huber Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 Well, it's not pick on Randy day, possession is 9/10ths the law. That is an old picture, maybe he found an original Century 6 wing blade since then, maybe not. Probably had a 4 wing on it and how boring is that, huh? I missed the Phillips-head screws on the cover, must be slipping. 🙂 Quote
Russ Huber Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 (edited) Here is the scoop on the 6 wing blade use..........It sure is looking like we are building some strong evidence that the cast base model 6 wing residence models had 6 pole motors and 5 speeds, yet the drawn steel 6 wing models had 4 pole motors and 5 speeds. I have followed Century residence 6 wing models up until 17 they fall off the map in electrical trade. SO..........if you can find an original 6 wing Century blade, based on Century's use of either 6 and 4 pole motors with the 6 wing blade. Why can't you plop a Century 6 wing blade on any 12" model roughly 1912-13 through 16? Based on the shallow pitch of the 6 wing blade......YOU CAN. Fact Jack! Edited June 26, 2022 by Russ Huber Quote
Russ Huber Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 Century 6 wing 12" residence desk fans it appears had their last season on thed market in 1916. 1917 they are no longer listed. Quote
