The oil port should be a little bubble deal on top of the gearbox.  It presses down and you put the oil in.

GE fans have such an oil port but this fan is not a rebadged GE but a Hunter with pot metal body.

Thanks Steve, wasn’t totally sure but I thought I would throw it out there.  I’m guessing there is no oil cup on it?

I forgot I even had a fan similar but the oil port is on top, in front of the gearbox.

Mark, is your fan all cast iron (base and motor)?  If so it is not related to the Hunter shown and I don't know if parts are similar as I have never had a Hunter like that one.

Yea, not sure what year hunter it is , but it’s hard to believe it would be made  without a rear oil port . Thanks for the response !

It’s all cast iron and has a badge on the side of the motor like a GE.

Totally understand your point.  Maybe it’s like a grease drip inside the gearbox???

Mark, that is a rebadged GE brass bell oscillator, a great quality fan which I think is a 1920 model and maybe the last of the Hunter rebadges and a

much higher quality than the "other" one being talked about here.
