Anthony Lindsey
Anyone have info on this fan? Ballpark value?
Mike Morris
Looks like a Gilbert "Swan" in fairly decent shape. The fiber oscillator gears are known to strip out and is the oscillator engagement knob missing? I will leave the value estimates to the people with more knowledge than myself. Steven P Dempsey
super nice ! Even better than the GESWAN! I'd say 250+, pretty rare fan.

Mike Kearns
A.C. Gilbert Aristocrat, 1937, yours might have been wall mounted, a pull switch added for this by the owner. It came from the factory with a different switch.

Anthony Lindsey
So....any hints how to remove rotor from blade on this Gilbert fan? The long screw goes thru the stator and holds rear cover in place. On the blade side the long screw has these nuts that have been ground at an angle to not hit the blade during rotation. I need to get the rotor out to put these back on. The small cap on the blade looks like it might pop off to allow access on the blade side but there is no gap whatsoever. Michael Rathberger
That one may screw on like the Emerson's. Been years but it rings a bell ..
Anthony Lindsey
I tried to unscrew the rotor from the blade but the small cap on the tip of the blade also turned so I stopped as I didn't want to do any damage if I already haven't. Mike Kearns
There's a tiny set screw accessible thru a hole in the front bullet part of the blade. If you have a borelight, shine it on the rear of the bullet, and look thru the hole in the front. You'll see it.
