Sean Campbell
Hello All. So it turns out a DC fan of mine needs a bridge rectifier. I have plenty of them but have never installed one myself before. I get the "AC" prongs should go to the line cord. I'm guessing whatever cords go to the same terminals the line cord attaches to should be attached to "+" and "-" right? Does it matter which is attached to + or -? If I hook it up that way it should fire up right? Fan is for 115 volts.
Patrick Ray
You've got it! Hook up the +/- to the fan's terminals and turn it on!
Mike Morris
If it runs the wrong direction reverse the +/- leads. DC motors are directional based on current flow.
