I recognized it immediately by the football tag even though it had the wrong blade on it. Pictures follow. It ran fine on two speeds. I noticed immediately that a previous owner had over sprayed the japanne with a rattle can. Note the overspray on the acorn nut and the speed coil. I pulled the stator and began the clean up. I contacted Ted Kaczor to inquire if he would consider making the correct blade for this fan, which he did. I shipped the pieces off to Rick Powell for japanning and the cage to Ron Bethoney of New England Brass Refinishing. Here it is all finished. And you can see it running below Thanks to Rick for being a great friend and Darryl Hudson for providing the missing acorn nut and most especially to Ted Kaczor for sharing his amazing talent with me. David Kilnapp Posted November 5, 2021 Author Share Posted November 5, 2021 I would have preferred to leave it in an "as found" condition but the poor spray paint job combined with Ted Kaczor's shiny new blade would have made for a very strange looking fan so I opted for the full restoration.
